Review of a rail clamp product type "shell"

A rail clip of the “shell” type is an innovative clamping device designed for the construction and maintenance of rail tracks. It is created on the basis of the mechanical properties of the design of the shell and the effective design of the clamp. The opening and closing of clamping sponges is controlled by a hydraulic drive system. It is used not only for the clamping of rails of various specifications, but also for the clamp of the ballast. This equipment is suitable for fixing, transportation and positioning of rails in scenarios such as laying railway tracks, lines maintenance and building switching translations.

The main technical characteristics

‌1. Bioonic clamping structure‌

The design of the clamping sponge of the hyperboloid type “shell” is used to increase the stability of the capture due to optimization of mechanical distribution. It can adapt to standard rail characteristics from 43 kg/m to 60 kg/m, and the maximum side force of the clamp reaches 120 kN, which provides zero slippage of rails during construction.


‌2. Hydraulic drive system‌

It is equipped with a built -in hydraulic power unit, supports the drive mode with one/two cylinders (an independent group of hydraulic valves is an option). The piston stroke is equipped with a triple protective device with a nominal pressure of 25 MPa, which can adapt to extreme working conditions from -30 ℃ to 60 ℃.


‌3. The modular design of adaptation‌

The main design is cast from high -strength alloy steel, and the contact surface is inlaid with interchangeable wear -resistant rafting overlays, and the installation size can be configured.
